AnthroMed is seeking a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist to provide onsite therapy in Waterford, Michigan. This full-time role will support the district's elementary classrooms. You’ll work alongside a multidisciplinary team, including AnthroMed SLPs and Social Workers to support students. Requirements
- Certification as an Occupational Therapist in the state of MI.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Passion for working with diverse student populations.
- Commitment to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience working with children or in a school-based setting is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide full-time occupational therapy services, four days a week.
- Conduct evaluations, develop individualized educational plans (IEPs), and implement evidence-based interventions to address fine motor and sensory regulation needs.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and other related service providers to support students’ skills across both classroom and individual settings.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and communication with stakeholders.
- Utilize IEP system for management and compliance.
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and ongoing training opportunities.
- Enjoy a dedicated office space for therapy sessions and planning.
