Requirements

• Current Occupational Therapist (OT) license in North Carolina
• CPR certification – required
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
• Commitment to quality, safety, and professional standards
• Compliance with all hospital policies, including vaccination requirements (approved exemptions considered)
• Familiarity with medical terminology
• Successful completion of a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening (post-offer)

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ functional abilities, activities of daily living (ADLs), and rehabilitation needs
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Guide patients through therapeutic interventions and recovery processes
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
• Recommend and design adaptive equipment and therapeutic strategies
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and home care techniques
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Ensure compliance with clinical, regulatory, and safety standards
