About The Position
University Home Care Inc is hiring an Occupational Therapist to provide personalized and compassionate care to clients in Wayne, MI. The role helps individuals improve daily living skills and regain independence through tailored therapeutic interventions. The Occupational Therapist assesses clients’ needs, creates and implements individualized treatment plans, collaborates with healthcare professionals and families, tracks progress, and educates clients and caregivers. The position also requires maintaining compliance with company policies and applicable state and federal regulations.
Requirements
- Valid Occupational Therapy license in the state of Michigan.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong commitment to quality patient care and ethical practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities
- Assess clients' physical, emotional, and developmental needs to develop individualized treatment plans.
- Implement therapeutic activities and exercises to improve clients’ functional abilities.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to support client progress.
- Document patient progress and update treatment plans as necessary.
- Educate clients and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and adaptive equipment use.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, state, and federal regulations.
