About The Position
American Senior Communities is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapist for Creekside Village, working 20 hours weekly. Occupational Therapists use their clinical skills to promote residents’ physical and psychosocial well-being and build meaningful relationships by learning about residents’ and staff members’ life stories. The role offers a supportive environment with experienced therapy leaders and a structured nine-month mentorship program to help develop clinical skills and expertise.
Requirements
- Current and valid Occupational Therapist license in the state of Indiana.
- Ability to conduct thorough assessments and accurately document changes in resident conditions.
- Strong passion for geriatric nursing and commitment to senior care excellence.
- Ability to work collaboratively with nursing and other facility teams.
- Demonstrates C.A.R.E. values: Compassion, Accountability, Relationships, and Excellence.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments and accurately document changes in residents’ conditions.
- Promote residents’ physical and psychosocial well-being.
- Collaborate with nursing and other facility teams to provide coordinated, comprehensive resident care.
- Promote teamwork within the care team to meet residents’ needs.
- Help create a comforting and engaging atmosphere for residents.
- Support a respectful and positive work environment.
- Demonstrate C.A.R.E. values to residents, family members, customers, and staff.
