About The Position

HealthPro Heritage is seeking a passionate Occupational Therapist to make a difference in the lives of seniors at their Maplewood Park Place facility in Bethesda, Maryland. This full-time position offers purpose, connection, and community within a leading long-term care facility. The role involves empowering residents to regain independence, improving their quality of life, creating personalized treatment plans, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary care team. Therapists will support daily activities, adaptive techniques, and cognitive rehabilitation, bringing compassion, creativity, and clinical expertise to every session. Requirements

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) in Maryland
  • Strong communication, compassion, and a can-do spirit
  • Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
  • Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist, or license eligible
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
  • Proficient in developing and implementing effective treatment plans
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in geriatrics or long-term care is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Empower residents to regain independence and improve quality of life
  • Create personalized treatment plans and work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary care team
  • Support daily activities, adaptive techniques, and cognitive rehab
  • Bring compassion, creativity, and clinical expertise to every session
  • Evaluate clients' physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities using observations and standardized tools
  • Create personalized treatment plans to meet clients' goals and enhance their functional abilities
  • Educate clients and their families on improving daily activities, including the use of adaptive equipment and environmental modifications
  • Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards
  • Advocate for clients' needs and support them in accessing community resources, services, and accommodations
