About The Position

Candor Consulting & Diagnostics is hiring a full-time, school-based Occupational Therapist in Texas. The OT will help students develop functional skills that support learning, participation in the educational environment, and greater independence. The role involves assessing students’ strengths and functional needs, communicating evaluation findings, collaborating with IEP teams, delivering services aligned with IEP goals, tracking student progress, and coordinating with families and school teams. The position starts at $50.00 per hour and is a W-2 position.

Requirements

Master’s degree or higher from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
Active Texas Occupational Therapist license issued by the Texas Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners (TBOTE).
Current CPR certification.
Clear communication and thoughtful documentation skills.
Commitment to working collaboratively with students, families, and school teams.

Responsibilities

Conduct occupational therapy assessments to identify students’ strengths, functional needs, and barriers to school participation.
Explain evaluation results to families, educators, and district personnel.
Collaborate with IEP teams to develop measurable goals and evidence-based interventions supporting students’ access, participation, and independence.
Provide occupational therapy services aligned with students’ IEP goals.
Supervise appropriately licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) when assigned.
Maintain accurate service records, document progress toward goals, and use data to guide recommendations and intervention adjustments.
Participate in ARD meetings, parent conferences, and multidisciplinary discussions to support coordinated services.
