Requirements

Bachelor's degree in an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by ACOTE standards.
Initial registration from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
Valid and unencumbered occupational therapy license as required in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

Assess patient needs.
Develop patient recovery plans.
Deliver occupational therapy.
Design programs to restore, reinforce, and enhance physical abilities and independence.
Adapt to patient needs and find joy in the variety of work and settings.
Collaborate with peers and make referrals to help patients get the care they need.
Train patients and caregivers on skills to promote independence and productivity.
