About The Position

The Occupational Therapist is a key member of the rehabilitation team, working under the direction of the Director of Rehabilitation Services. This role is responsible for providing occupational therapy services for goal-directed, purposeful activity to restore, reinforce, and enhance performance. The therapist will facilitate the learning of adaptive skills by individuals of all ages who have physical disabilities and related psychological impairments, deficits of self-care due to age of pathology, and/or developmental disabilities. Such therapy is designed to maximize independence, prevent further disability, and maintain health. Duties include working as a member of a team and independently, understanding and following safe work practices, and ensuring all Amberwell procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.

Requirements

  • Kansas Occupational Therapist License
  • BLS certification
  • Bachelor's Science of Occupational Therapy

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years experience in Occupational Therapy
  • Hand Therapy Certification
