About The Position

Visiting Rehab and Nursing Services (VRNS) is seeking a compassionate and dependable Occupational Therapist to provide skilled occupational therapy services in patients’ homes in Northborough, Massachusetts. This full-time home care position offers salaried pay, flexible scheduling, professional independence, and one-on-one patient care. The therapist works with patients, caregivers, and care teams to improve patients’ independence, functional abilities, safety, and quality of life. VRNS describes itself as clinician-owned and clinician-focused, with clinical and administrative support and participation in the ABI Waiver Program to help provide consistent scheduling while retaining flexibility.

Requirements

Current Massachusetts Occupational Therapist (OT) license.
Minimum of one year of clinical experience.
Afternoon availability.

Nice To Haves

Monday–Friday availability.
Weekend availability.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on each patient’s needs.
Provide therapeutic activities and interventions to improve functional independence.
Train patients in activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs).
Assess patients’ home environments and recommend appropriate safety modifications and adaptive equipment.
Educate and train patients and caregivers.
Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, speech therapists, nurses, and other care-team members.
Complete accurate and timely electronic documentation.
