About The Position

Focus Clinic is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) who is passionate about helping children and adolescents with ADHD, executive functioning challenges, sensory processing differences, learning concerns, and related developmental needs. This role blends evidence-based occupational therapy with practical, structured skill-building to support kids at home, in school, and in daily life. The ideal candidate is collaborative, organized, and creative, with a heart for equipping families with real-world tools. Requirements

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current Michigan OT license in good standing (OTR/L).
  • Strong understanding of ADHD-related challenges, including executive functioning, sensory processing, emotional regulation, and functional independence.
  • Comfortable collaborating in a team-based model and communicating clearly with parents, teachers (as appropriate), and other providers.
  • Eligible and willing to become credentialed with insurance panels (if applicable to your role structure).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with children and caregivers.
  • Commitment to compassionate and mission-driven care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide occupational therapy evaluations and treatment for children and teens with ADHD, sensory processing concerns, motor coordination challenges, emotional regulation needs, and functional skill delays.
  • Develop individualized, goal-driven treatment plans focused on executive functioning, self-regulation, routines, independence, and school-related performance.
  • Deliver therapy using evidence-based approaches (as appropriate), which may include sensory integration-informed strategies, motor planning interventions, visual-motor supports, and emotional/self-regulation frameworks.
  • Provide parent and caregiver coaching with practical home strategies (routines, transitions, sleep supports, organization systems, sensory diets, etc.).
  • Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team (medical providers, psychologists, coaches, educational advocates) to coordinate care and align treatment goals.
  • Contribute to clinic programming as needed, such as group skill-building sessions (e.g., regulation groups, school readiness, handwriting, organization).
  • Maintain accurate, timely, AI-assisted documentation that meets insurance billing and compliance standards.
  • Participate in staff meetings and ongoing training to ensure alignment with clinic values, patient experience standards, and clinical excellence.
