About The Position
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a dedicated and motivated Occupational Therapist (OT) with acute care experience to join a short-term acute care hospital setting. The OT will provide high-quality, patient-centered care for inpatient populations while collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary healthcare team. This role may also require floating across units based on departmental needs.
Requirements
- Active Washington State Occupational Therapist License (required, in hand)
- Prior acute care experience required
- Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a dynamic caseload
- Collaborative mindset for effective interdisciplinary teamwork
- Self-motivated and adaptable in a fast-paced hospital environment
Nice To Haves
- inpatient rehab experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver therapeutic interventions for inpatient caseloads (8–10 patients per day)
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Document evaluations, treatment progress, and care plans using Epic EMR
- Float between hospital units as needed to support patient care delivery
- Participate in a rotating weekend schedule every 4 weeks with compensatory time off
- Adhere to hospital policies, clinical guidelines, and regulatory standards
- Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain best practices in acute care therapy
