About The Position

Join our team at Florida Rehabilitation Hospital at Tampa, a beautiful new hospital with 60 private patient rooms and 2 rehab therapy gyms equipped with cutting-edge technology. As an Occupational Therapist PRN, you will independently evaluate patients, determine treatment strategies, and deliver services to identify, prevent, remediate, and rehabilitate impairments. Your role will focus on maximizing function in activities of daily living, leisure/recreation, and productivity/work, while also addressing psychosocial skills, cognition, and sensorimotor components. Interventions will aim to enhance safety and performance in ADLs, IADLs, education, work, play, leisure, and social participation.

Requirements

• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained from the American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross. Online certification is not acceptable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Detail-oriented, able to meet strict time frames

• Inpatient rehabilitation experience

Responsibilities

• Maximizes function in the areas of activities of daily living, leisure/recreation, and productivity/work.
• Addresses dysfunction in psychosocial skills, cognition, and sensorimotor components.
• Provides interventions and procedures to promote or enhance safety and performance in activities of daily living (ADL), instrumental activities of daily living (IADL), education, work, play, leisure, and social participation.
