About The Position

This role involves providing occupational therapy evaluations and services to patients as ordered by a physician. The therapist will work independently, adhering to agency policies, standards of practice, and regulations. The primary goal is to develop and administer treatment programs that facilitate the rehabilitation of physically disabled patients, maximizing their function and independence. This position requires a PRN schedule, including weekend and holiday rotations.

Requirements

• Current licensure in NC as an Occupational Therapist or state licensure examination eligible (for Rehab).
• Current licensure in North Carolina as an Occupational Therapist (for IHH).
• CPR certification required through The American Heart Association or American Red Cross. If not currently certified, must obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Successful completion of a competency based orientation which includes age and population specific skills for the area of practice in which the OT will be working, and addresses the growth and development needs for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for position to include walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching and sitting for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
• Minimum of one year’s experience in a health care facility.
• Current NC driver’s license, valid insurance coverage and reliable transportation (for IHH).

Nice To Haves

• Home Health experience preferred.
