About The Position

Scarborough Health Network (SHN) is hiring an Occupational Therapist / Physiotherapist Assistant for its General Site. Reporting to the Manager, the successful candidate will carry out prescribed Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy duties under the direction and supervision of a Physiotherapist and/or Occupational Therapist.

This is a temporary, fixed-term, part-time position for 12 months. The role is scheduled across all shifts.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Physiotherapist/Occupational Therapist Assistant program or equivalent.
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology relating to rehabilitation.
• Valid CPR training.
• Ability to function as an integral component of an interdisciplinary team.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision while accepting responsibility and accountability as assigned.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including patient-teaching skills.
• Demonstrated physical fitness to perform the essential duties of the position.
• Strong work ethic and commitment.
• Demonstrated high standards of work outputs.
• Highly punctual.
• Demonstrated professionalism and reliability.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with people from various ethno-cultural groups is an asset.
