About The Position

Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist - Outpatient for a 14-week travel assignment in Carlinville, IL. This position involves assessing patients' physical, communication, and cognitive skills to develop treatment plans, providing support to family members and caregivers, and assessing home, school, and work environments. The role also includes installing and teaching the use of necessary equipment for children with disabilities, assisting patients in participating in everyday activities, aiding with pain relief exercises, reviewing patient progress, and adapting treatment plans. Administrative tasks such as record-keeping, report writing, and making phone calls are also part of the responsibilities. The position requires holiday coverage.

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of outpatient OT experience
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
Willingness to participate in continuing education and training programs
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Strong communication, professionalism, and reliability
Must pass a drug screen and background check
Complete additional facility onboarding forms as assigned

Experience with CPSI/Evident EMR system

Responsibilities

Assessing the patient’s physical, communication and cognitive skills to develop a treatment plan
Giving advice and providing support for family members and Carers
Assessing the home, school and work environments of the patient
Installing the necessary equipment in the classroom for children with disabilities and teaching them how to use the equipment
Helping children and adult patients to take part in everyday activities based on their unique circumstances
Assisting patients’ exercise for pain relief
Reviewing the patient’s progress and adapting the treatment accordingly
Performing administrative tasks such as keeping records, writing reports and making telephone calls
