Maria Parham also offers state‑of‑the‑art physical, occupational, and speech therapy on an outpatient basis, ensuring patients receive high‑quality, accessible care close to home. Our system extends to the Maria Parham Franklin facility in Louisburg, which features a fully equipped Emergency Department, specialized Behavioral Health units, and additional outpatient diagnostic services. Across our 205 licensed beds, we provide advanced cardiac, cancer, respiratory, and rehabilitation care supported by cutting‑edge technology and key partnerships. The Occupational Therapist evaluates patients’ ability to safely and effectively perform daily activities and develops individualized treatment plans to improve functional independence. This role implements therapeutic interventions using appropriate modalities, educates patients and caregivers on deficits and adaptive techniques, and provides guidance on the selection and use of adaptive equipment to support recovery. The OT documents patient progress in accordance with regulatory and accreditation standards, monitors and adjusts plans of care as needed, and collaborates closely with the interdisciplinary rehab team on treatment goals and discharge planning. The therapist also supervises and delegates appropriate aspects of care to certified occupational therapy assistants and therapy technicians in accordance with state regulations and professional practice standards.
