The Occupational Therapist, Lymphedema will be responsible for performing specialized tests, such as manual muscle testing and goniometry, and teaching occupational therapy procedures to patients, families, and other health personnel. This role involves performing both individual and comprehensive evaluations with multidisciplinary team members and providing written summaries of diagnostic findings. The therapist will plan intervention strategies, communicate effectively with families regarding the child's strengths and weaknesses, and provide occupational therapy treatment services including neuro-developmental and sensory motor therapy, developmental stimulation, home programming, and equipment demonstration. Documentation of goals, objectives, and progress is essential, as is participation in IFSP as needed. The position also includes chart review for quality assurance, attending relevant workshops, and participating in staff and committee meetings.
