About The Position

This role is for an Occupational Therapist at Ascension Sacred Heart Bay in Panama City, FL. The position is in the Rehabilitation Services department and is a full-time, day shift role. The Occupational Therapist will assess patients' ability to safely and effectively perform independent living skills, design and implement appropriate plans of care, document patient progress, and plan for patient discharge. This includes providing information on adaptive equipment and support programs.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Occupational Therapy (OT) credentialed from the Florida Board of Occupational Therapy prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Bachelor's degree required.

Nice To Haves

Master's OR Doctorate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Assess patient's ability to safely and effectively perform independent living skills.
Design the appropriate plan of care, including type and frequency of treatment.
Implement the treatment plan using appropriate modalities.
Document findings of patient progress.
Monitors and modifies the plan of care as needed.
Plan and/or assist with patient discharge from therapy services and provides information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and support programs.
