At Palo Alto Medical Foundation – Santa Cruz, you’ll play a meaningful role in helping patients regain independence—with a specialized focus in hand therapy—within a collaborative, patient-centered environment. Independently assess, plan, and deliver targeted rehabilitative programs that restore and enhance fine motor function, upper extremity strength, and coordination, while also supporting vocational, homemaking, and daily living skills. This role emphasizes hand and upper extremity rehabilitation, working with patients recovering from injury, surgery, or conditions affecting the hand, wrist, and arm. Build strong, trusting relationships with patients, their families, and interdisciplinary care teams through compassionate care, thoughtful assessments, and clear, engaging communication. Be part of a mission-driven team where your expertise in hand therapy directly impacts functional outcomes and quality of life for the Santa Cruz community. Uphold the highest standards of care by ensuring compliance with all regulatory and organizational guidelines, prioritizing patient safety, privacy, and clinical excellence. In addition to delivering exceptional care, you’ll mentor and guide therapy assistants and aides while serving as a clinical instructor for students—helping shape the next generation of rehabilitation professionals.
