Job Location: Workdays will be split between the following locations: 3 days per week: 96-16 Metropolitan Avenue, Forest Hills, NY 2 days per week: 23-22 30th Avenue, Astoria, NY

Requirements

• Licensed Occupational Therapist (or ability to obtain in the state of practice)
• Excellent work ethic and dedication to patient success
• Basic computer skills
• CPR and first aid certification required
• Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) strongly preferred OR CHT-eligible (minimum 4,000 hours of hand therapy experience and 3 years of practice ), awaiting board examination , OR Level II fieldwork in hand therapy , with relevant continuing education , and 2+ years of outpatient hand therapy experience as a licensed OT; NO New Grads
• Experience treating upper-extremity (UE) diagnoses , including repetitive strain injuries, arthritic conditions, nerve injuries, ligament and tendon injuries, post-surgical conditions, fractures, sprains and strains, and nerve and tendon transfers and repairs.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with splinting and orthotic fabrication preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing patient medical history and developing individualized treatment plans
• Diagnosing patients by observing movements and listening to concerns
• Using exercises, stretching, equipment, and manual therapy to manage pain and improve mobility
• Recording patient progress and modifying treatment plans as needed
