About The Position

NovaCare Rehabilitation is seeking a full-time Hand Therapist-Occupational Therapist for our outpatient orthopedic center! Although a certified hand therapist (CHT) is preferred, we are willing to consider occupational therapists with a level II fieldwork in hands (required). We have a network of hand therapists and CHTs available for support and are excited to mentor occupational therapists aspiring to be a CHT. Position based out of Forest Park but will float to other clinics as necessary to provide coverage to other locations around Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky market.

Requirements

Graduate of an American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) -accredited school of occupational therapy
CPR certification
Valid driver’s license
Level II fieldwork in hands

Nice To Haves

Certified hand therapist (CHT) is preferred
2 years of experience in the application of custom splinting pre and post-op orthopedic
1-4 years in adult rehabilitation; hand and splinting experience preferred

Responsibilities

Supervise assistants and aides and contribute to case management.
Stay current and up to date with occupational therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB, clinician expertise, patient perception).
Provide comprehensive and individualized treatment, from evaluating and creating a plan of care to treatment and discharge.
Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients. Enhance and expand client relations with facilities and their staff.
