About The Position

Select Physical Therapy is seeking a Hand Therapist-Occupational Therapist for their outpatient orthopedic center. While a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) is preferred, they are willing to consider occupational therapists with a level II fieldwork in hands. The company offers a strong support network of hand therapists and CHTs for mentorship, especially for those aspiring to become a CHT. They also provide extensive educational opportunities, including a national UE symposium, journal club, free local continuing education, a national study group, and additional certification courses.

Requirements

Graduate of an American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) -accredited school of occupational therapy
CPR certification
Valid driver’s license
Level II fieldwork in hands

Nice To Haves

Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) is preferred
At least two years of experience in the application of custom splinting pre and post-op orthopedic
Minimum two years in adult rehabilitation; hand and splinting experience preferred

Responsibilities

Supervise assistants and aides and contribute to case management.
Stay current and up to date with occupational therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB, clinician expertise, patient perception).
Provide comprehensive and individualized treatment, from evaluating and creating a plan of care to treatment and discharge.
Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients. Enhance and expand client relations with facilities and their staff.
