About The Position

Seize the opportunity to join our highly trained and respected Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation team whose mentors provide training across the continuum of rehabilitative services to help improve the quality of life for people affected by physical disabilities or disorders.

Requirements

• Graduate of an ACOTE-accredited occupational therapy program (required)
• Valid TX Occupational Therapy License (required)
• American Heart Association BLS CPR (required within 30 days of employment)

Nice To Haves

• Candidates with 1 to 3 years’ experience highly desirable
• Six months of prior OT experience strongly preferred
• Relevant fieldwork experience in in-patient rehabilitation may be considered

Responsibilities

• Enhance therapists’ skills in advanced-level practice and prepares them for the AOTA Board Certification in Physical Rehabilitation (BCPR) exam.
• Complete four 12-week rotations with clinical teams at our inpatient rehabilitation facility.
• Complete four 1-week observational rotations across rehabilitation continuum of care.
• Complete one 3 credit hours course from Texas Woman’s University’s School of Occupational Therapy (co-sponsor of the program).
