About The Position

Requirements

NYS Occupational Therapist license is required
At least 1 year of OT experience is strongly preferred
Demonstration of at least entry level professional competency of Occupational Therapy practice, theory, principles and applications
Must function well within a team concept of rehabilitation professionals.
Excellent communication skills, flexibility and exceptional clinical reasoning skills are essential.

Responsibilities

Perform evaluations and re-evaluations according to standards and recommended techniques.
Assess a driver’s physical, visual, and cognitive abilities to determine if it is safe for them to return to the road.
Establish, implement, and adapt an individualized treatment plan of care (including appropriate goal setting, treatment activities and frequency).
Document accurately, completely, and timely.
Will be mentored and trained to obtain Certified Driving Rehabilitation Specialist credential
