About The Position

Join our exceptional rehabilitation team in a multidisciplinary skilled nursing and short-term rehabilitation setting. We are seeking a motivated Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant with skilled nursing rehabilitation experience who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and making a meaningful impact on the lives of others. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills along with outstanding customer service, communication, and time management abilities. This role offers exciting opportunities for program development, collaboration across disciplines, and involvement in an outpatient rehabilitation environment. Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written to ensure clear patient/caregiver collaboration to facilitate successful patient outcomes.
  • Having empathy and compassion is essential.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment with resilience and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to assess risk and make decisions rapidly.
  • Problem solving is essential as no two treatment plans are the same. Using problem solving skills the successful candidate will craft solutions specific to the nuances of the patients they serve.
  • NC OT or COTA License Required.

Responsibilities

  • Communicating with Occupational Therapists regarding plan of care progression
  • Implementation of interventions and education in line with POC and within the COTA scope of practice
  • Making recommendations for adaptive equipment or durable medical equipment to help patients reach their highest level of safe independence in activities of daily living
  • Working with interdisciplinary team to meet the needs of the patients while supporting the hospital's mission and values
  • Documenting and billing appropriately
