About The Position

Lifemark is seeking a passionate Occupational Therapist for its Community Care Program in British Columbia. This program delivers client-centered occupational therapy services in home and community settings, supporting individuals to live safely, independently, and meaningfully. Services are provided through contracts with provincial and community stakeholders, in collaboration with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Occupational Therapists in this program enable participation in daily activities, support chronic disease management, aging in place, mental health, and recovery after illness or injury. The program values professional autonomy, collaboration, and innovation, offering OTs the opportunity to build strong therapeutic relationships, exercise clinical judgment, and make a tangible impact in their communities. New graduates and International OTs who have started the SEAS process are welcome to apply. Service areas include Fraser Valley, Surrey, Vancouver, Burnaby, and Coquitlam.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of current Occupational Therapy standards, modalities, and scope of practice; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists in your province.
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable vehicle required.
  • In some cases, Valid Vulnerable Sector screening check.
  • In some cases, Proof of Tuberculin (2-Step Mantoux Test) clearance (within 6 months).
  • Proficiency in computer skills.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-3 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist is preferred.
  • Newly Licensed Graduates are accepted.
  • Clinical experience is an asset in areas such as brain injury/neurological rehabilitation, mental health, musculoskeletal/orthopedic injury, home safety, ergonomics and/or return to work.
  • Passion for your profession and commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Superior interpersonal relations, communication, problem-solving, time management, computer and documentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Bilingualism - French and English are assets.

Responsibilities

  • Provide community-based occupational therapy services across home, hospital, and workplace environments.
  • Support clients through assessment, treatment, and return-to-work planning.
  • Facilitate hospital discharge planning and community reintegration.
  • Conduct OT assessments, treatment, and functional intervention for return to work and return to function.
  • Provide equipment prescription and recommendations.
  • Perform job site visits, ergonomic assessments, and Job Demands Analyses (JDAs).
  • Develop return-to-work (RTW) and gradual RTW plans.
  • Conduct Physical Capacity Assessments (PCAs) and Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCEs).
  • Offer support for chronic pain, mental health, and concussion.
  • Perform PGAP and complex medical assessments.
