About The Position

The Occupational Therapist will primarily evaluate and treat patients with lymphedema, chronic edema, and related lymphatic disorders, utilizing the unique expertise of occupational therapy to address functional limitations, activities of daily living, upper-extremity involvement, self-management, and quality of life. This position provides an exciting opportunity for a clinician who is passionate about lymphedema treatment and interested in helping build and grow a specialty program. The successful candidate will work closely with our rehabilitation and wound care teams while helping establish Vereen Rehabilitation Center as a leading regional resource for lymphedema treatment.

Requirements

  • Current and active Occupational Therapy license (or eligibility for licensure) in the state of Georgia.
  • Bachelors/Masters in Occupational Therapy
  • BLS Certification
  • Strong clinical reasoning skills with a passion for patient-centered care.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and time-management skills.
  • Commitment to professional growth and advancing clinical expertise.
  • Passion for working with a pediatric population.

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside experienced PT, OT, and SLP professionals.
  • Collaborate closely with our wound care program.
  • Treat a diverse outpatient population.
  • Develop your clinical expertise in lymphedema management.
  • Help build, develop, and grow a specialized lymphedema therapy program.
  • Develop relationships with physicians and healthcare providers throughout the community.
  • Participate in community education and program outreach.
