About The Position

Vertis Therapy is growing and is seeking a passionate Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our team in a Part-Time role at our Long-Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH) in Greenfield, Indiana. Vertis Therapy is a therapist-owned and therapist-operated company dedicated to providing exceptional, patient-centered care. Requirements

Associate of Science degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant.
Current license or eligible for license under statutes in the state of practice.
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Adequate computer skills in order to complete required job duties and computerized documentation.
Ability to understand and follow the directions of the Occupational Therapist and the policies and procedures of Vertis Therapy.

Nice To Haves

Minimum one (1) year rehabilitation experience in setting serving the same age/type of patient population served by this facility.
Active membership in the state and national American Occupational Therapy Association.

Responsibilities

Provide occupational therapy treatments according to treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist.
Assist the Occupational Therapist with evaluations, assessments, and complex treatment procedures as appropriate.
Observe, document, and report patient conditions, responses, and progress to the Occupational Therapist.
Maintain accurate daily treatment records and complete required documentation in a timely manner.
Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to support quality patient care.
Assist in maintaining therapy equipment and the overall Occupational Therapy department.
Participate in in-service education programs, staff meetings, and interdisciplinary team meetings.
Pursue continuing education opportunities to maintain clinical competency and stay current with industry best practices.
Comply with all Vertis Therapy policies and procedures, as well as applicable state, federal, and professional standards.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
