The Occupational Therapist Assistant will conduct regular screening of residents to determine the best intervention or treatment for each individual patient based on the scope of practice. This role involves performing treatment plans for residents, following short and long-term goals and methods to achieve them based on the established plan of care by the supervising therapist. The OTA will interpret and communicate evaluation findings, treatment plans, and recommendations to residents, families/caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members. They will establish individual resident therapy schedules in cooperation with other team members and conduct therapy according to the established treatment plan, ensuring proper documentation and billing of occupational therapy services. The position also includes performing all other duties as assigned and as required to effectively treat patients and complying with all CMS documentation standards of practice daily with point of care documentations as indicated. The OTA will also perform other tasks as assigned by their immediate supervisor.
