About The Position

Rehab Without Walls Neuro Rehabilitation is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) for their neuro-rehabilitation program in San Antonio, TX. This role focuses on providing 1:1 patient care in 60-minute treatment sessions for adults with neurological injuries. The OTA will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to achieve patient-centered outcomes in an innovative outpatient setting, utilizing the latest technology and equipment. The position offers an optional 32-40 hour work week.

Requirements

Degree from a certified occupational therapy assistant training program.
Current Occupational Therapist Assistant certification and license to practice in state of application.
Current CPR certification.

Nice To Haves

Minimum of 1 year experience preferred, related to treatment of complex neurological injuries.
Knowledge of complex neurologic injury and orthopedic rehabilitation techniques.

Responsibilities

Assist patients in exercise, ADLs, functional activities, and the application/use of assistive devices in accordance with the treatment plan established by the Occupational Therapist.
Assist Occupational Therapist in the collection of outcome measures and completion of complex treatment procedures.
Educate patients, families, and other health workers on selected procedures and functional activities as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
Participate in ongoing program evaluation and development.
Maintain thorough and timely documentation of all care provided.
Maintain working knowledge of and adherence to the AOTA Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics.
Perform other duties as assigned.
