About The Position

Benchmark Therapy and Rehab, a large therapy practice in Ohio, is looking for a full-time and consistent PRN COTA to join their practice. The Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) will be directly supervised by an OT and Therapy Coordinator. This role involves assisting occupational therapists in providing therapy services to patients in their homes, implementing treatment plans, helping patients develop or regain daily living skills, monitoring and documenting patient progress, collaborating with other healthcare professionals, and educating patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and exercises. The ability to create and manage one's own schedule is also a key aspect of this position.

Requirements

License as an Occupational Therapy Assistant is required for this position.
Strong knowledge of human physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, their caregivers and healthcare team members.
Ability to adapt to different patient needs and modify treatment plans accordingly based on their home environment.
Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges that may arise during therapy sessions.

Nice To Haves

Experience in home care setting is a plus.

Responsibilities
