About The Position

Rehab Without Walls Neuro Rehabilitation is a revolutionary neurorehabilitation program that moves individuals outside the walls of institutional settings and into their natural home and community environment through a continuum of care. It is designed to significantly help people who have primarily experienced a brain injury, spinal cord injury, or stroke/CVA through accident or illness regain functional capabilities. Requirements

• Degree from a certified occupational therapy assistant training program
• Current Occupational Therapist Assistant certification and license to practice in state of application
• Current CPR certification

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of 1 year experience preferred, related to treatment of complex neurological injuries
• Knowledge of complex neurologic injury and orthopedic rehabilitation techniques

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in exercise, ADLs, functional activities, and the application/use of assistive devices in accordance with the treatment plan established by the Occupational Therapist
• Assist Occupational Therapist in the collection of outcome measures and completion of complex treatment procedures
• Educate patients, families, and other health workers on selected procedures and functional activities as directed by the Occupational Therapist
• Participate in ongoing program evaluation and development
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation of all care provided
• Maintain working knowledge of and adherence to the AOTA Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics
• Perform other duties as assigned
