Occupational Therapist Assistant / COTA
About The Position
Join our Rehab Without Walls team and help adults with neurological injuries build greater independence and return to the activities and routines that matter most. This role involves providing 1:1 patient care in 60-minute treatment sessions, delivering personalized, functional neurological rehabilitation under the direction of an Occupational Therapist. You will help patients improve daily living skills, functional abilities, and independence, collaborating with a supportive interdisciplinary team focused on meaningful, patient-centered outcomes. The position is in an innovative outpatient setting with access to advanced technology and equipment, offering a consistent Monday–Friday schedule with no evenings, weekends, or holidays. Requirements
- Degree from a certified occupational therapy assistant training program
- Current Occupational Therapist Assistant certification and license to practice in state of application
- Knowledge of complex neurologic injury and orthopedic rehabilitation techniques
- Current CPR certification
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of 1 year experience preferred, related to treatment of complex neurological injuries
Responsibilities
- Assist patients in exercise, ADLs, functional activities, and the application/use of assistive devices in accordance with the treatment plan established by the Occupational Therapist
- Assist Occupational Therapist in the collection of outcome measures and completion of complex treatment procedures
- Educate patients, families, and other health workers on selected procedures and functional activities as directed by the Occupational Therapist
- Participate in ongoing program evaluation and development
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation of all care provided
- Maintain working knowledge of and adherence to the AOTA Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics
- Perform other duties as assigned
