About The Position
The Occupational Therapist, Acute Care position at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center is a full-time role within the Acute Care Rehabilitation department. This role focuses on providing comprehensive patient care, including assessment and treatment, while maintaining accurate documentation and meeting department productivity standards. The therapist will also participate in process management to enhance service quality and efficiency, promote professional development among healthcare workers, and represent the department on committees. Additionally, the role involves leading staff and program development projects related to strategic effectiveness, clinical outcomes, competency, or financial performance. Effective communication and networking within the occupational therapy profession, other healthcare fields, and the community are essential. The therapist must provide appropriate patient care in accordance with age and developmental guidelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university.
- Current license to practice Occupational Therapy in the State of applicable state
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.

Responsibilities
- Provides patient care assessment and treatment.
- Maintains accurate documentation.
- Meets department financial and productivity standards.

- Leads staff and/or program development projects in the areas of strategic effectiveness, clinical outcomes, clinical competency, or financial performance.
