Serve as a safety expert by analyzing data, researching solutions, monitoring regulations, and creating educational materials to help prevent workplace injuries. Provide training for Ohio employers and BWC employees, identify training needs, and develop new classes to improve safety knowledge. Coach and mentor field staff by assessing their skills, offering feedback, creating new hire training, and ensuring consistent quality across the state. Conduct quality reviews of on-site safety activities and consultative services to maintain accuracy and effectiveness. Lead regulator updates and special projects, including updating Ohio safety rules and presenting changes to the Board of Directors. BWC is the state agency that cares for Ohio workers by promoting a culture of safety at work and at home and ensuring quality medical and pharmacy care is provided to injured workers. For Ohio employers, we provide insurance policies to cover workplace injuries and safety and wellness services to prevent injuries. BWC strives to maintain an inclusive workplace.
