Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Specialist
About The Position
The Building People, LLC seeks a qualified Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Specialist to serve as the Collateral Duty Safety Officer (CDSO) and Chemical Hygiene Officer (CHO) at designated government facility locations. This is for an upcoming position, and applications are being accepted for this anticipated need. The OSH Specialist will coordinate and submit accident reports, distribute and post program marketing materials, conduct and report periodic general safety inspections, conduct respirator fit testing, coordinate scheduling and reporting for annual medical physicals and hearing tests, implement hazard communications programs, and monitor environmental compliance. The OSH Specialist will also advise personnel on mishap and hazard reporting procedures and collect environmental compliance data related to energy conservation, hazardous waste disposal, and lead abatement activities.
