About The Position

DocStar Medical Partners is seeking an Occupational Medicine Physician for a locum tenens assignment in Colorado. This role involves providing care in an Occupational Medicine Clinic setting, focusing on worker's compensation cases. The physician will be responsible for evaluating and treating a variety of occupational injuries and conditions across multiple clinic locations within the Denver metropolitan area. The assignment is for one week, with the possibility of starting locum work while the background check and credentialing process is ongoing. The provider will work independently and must be proficient in managing all aspects of occupational medicine cases.

Requirements

• Active CO license or IMLC
• Unencumbered CO Medical License
• Active DEA License
• Current BLS Certification
• FMCSA certified for DOT exams
• Board Certified (or eligible) in Occupational Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Orthopedics
• Must be able to work as a solo provider
• Must be tech savvy
• Must be able to treat all Occ. Med related cases

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat common occupational musculoskeletal injuries of the neck, back, and upper and lower extremities.
• Treat work-related injuries to the head, chest, abdomen, face, scalp, and extremities.
• Manage work-related eye injuries, including foreign bodies, non-penetrating injuries, and chemical exposures.
• Diagnose and treat work-related rashes and other occupational skin conditions.
• Address occupational asthma and other work-related respiratory symptoms.
• Treat non-displaced uncomplicated fractures, including interpreting radiographs and splinting.
• Refer patients for orthopedic consultation when appropriate.
• Work as a solo provider.
• Float between clinic locations as scheduled.
