Summer 2027 Occupational Health & Safety Internship
About The Position

We are seeking a motivated Occupational Health & Safety Intern to join our team in the Summer of 2027. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of workplace safety and health. As an intern, you will have the chance to work alongside our experienced safety professionals and contribute to the development and implementation of our safety programs.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Masters in Public Health, Industrial Safety or similar.
- Currently college level: Junior or Senior student
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Eligible to work 40 hours (or more) per week
- Excellent computer skills with a proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Must be team oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Responsibilities
- Perform job site safety inspections
- Participate in weekly safety meetings
- Conduct a minimum of one safety meeting and training class
- Complete one documented Safety, Health and Environmental process improvement.
- Attend one week of ride along with EHS Managers observing project activities.
- Research or recommend lone worker risks and safety strategies.
- Attend Safety meetings for each of the TBS trades.
- Shadow BU Safety coordinators
- Shadow project safety coordinators
- Attend one week of ride along with EHS Managers observing Special Projects team activitites.
