Job Summary: We are currently looking for an Occupational Health Nurse for our new factory in Columbus. This position reports to the Nursing Supervisor. The primary responsibility of this position is to utilize nursing and communication skills to serve our associates in proactively maintaining the health and safety of our team.

Requirements

  • Valid nursing license and registration in Ohio.
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in an industrial or healthcare setting.
  • Occupational Health, CPR, and First Aid certification.
  • Proficiency in using medical equipment for conducting health assessments and screenings.
  • Knowledge of workers’ compensation regulations, industrial hygiene, ergonomics, emergency response, and first aid.
  • Must have the ability to communicate and listen to the needs of our production and maintenance associates.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a welcoming environment to collaborate with associates on the safety and health of our team.
  • Develop and implement health and safety programs, policies, and procedures to promote a safe working environment.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of EHS training programs.
  • Conduct health assessments and screenings to identify potential health risks and hazards.
  • Provide medical care and first aid including pre-employment and return to work programs.
  • Help establish and grow Illuminate USA’s health and safety culture through a commitment to communication, trust, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop health education and wellness programs in order to enhance the health and safety of our team.
  • Participate in facility analysis to reduce risk to our associates and ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
  • Maintain confidentiality of medical records.
  • Collaborate with external healthcare providers to ensure the appropriate care of our team.
