About The Position

Develop and manage occupational health programs in partnership with management and the EHS team to align with corporate goals. Assess, treat, and manage workplace injuries and illnesses, including case management and facilitating timely return-to-work. Conduct medical evaluations (pre-employment, return-to-work, and fit-for-duty) to ensure employees are medically qualified for job tasks. Administer medical leave programs and coordinate care for non-occupational conditions (e.g., FMLA, STD/LTD). Maintain confidential health records and ensure compliance with healthcare privacy standards and occupational health regulations. Deliver employee health services, including counseling, education, wellness initiatives, and referrals (including mental health support). Lead health surveillance and regulatory programs, such as respiratory protection, hearing conservation, bloodborne pathogens, and exposure monitoring. Analyze and report injury and illness data, support OSHA recordkeeping, and identify trends to drive risk reduction. Partner with EHS to identify and mitigate workplace hazards, including conducting ergonomic assessments and supporting PPE programs. Support emergency preparedness and on-site medical readiness, including emergency response leadership, training, and management of medical resources. Adherence to NSG/Pilkington Standards of Business Conduct and its Values and Principles. Other duties as assigned by manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience, preferably in occupational health, emergency, or industrial/manufacturing environment.
  • Current certification in CPR, First Aid, and AED.
  • Certification in audiometric testing and Certified Occupational Hearing Conservationist (COHC) required.
  • Certification or training in pulmonary function testing (spirometry) required.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, medical surveillance programs, and occupational health compliance.
  • Experience in injury/illness case management and return-to-work coordination.
  • Ability to maintain confidential medical records in compliance with HIPAA and applicable regulations.
  • Demonstrated participation in continuing education and professional development activities.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN or COHN-S).
  • NIOSH Spirometry Certification.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Experience with OSHA recordkeeping and regulatory reporting.
  • Familiarity with workers’ compensation processes and third-party administrator (TPA) coordination.
  • Experience with electronic medical records and incident management systems (e.g., Airsweb or similar).
