About The Position

This is an opportunity for an experienced EMT to transition into a proactive, prevention-focused role where you’ll help keep America’s workforce safe and healthy every day. As an On-Site Occupational Health Technician, you will provide injury triage and treatment, support workers’ health and wellness initiatives, collaborate with safety teams and project leadership, and help prevent workplace injuries before they happen. At MMC, we don’t just respond to emergencies—we help stop them before they occur.

Requirements

  • Current State EMT-Basic certification or ability to obtain according to National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians and State Laws
  • Active EMT license held for a minimum of 3 years
  • Minimum of 3 years of 911 EMS experience
  • Current ACLS certification
  • OSHA-30 Certification (required within 90 days; company provided)
  • Bilingual skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail and multitasking ability
  • Proficiency in EMR systems and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to read and complete medical and administrative documentation
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing (if driving required)
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role in a construction environment

Nice To Haves

  • Emergency, occupational, or industrial safety experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Triage and treat occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses
  • Provide follow-up care using evidence-based medical protocols
  • Support workers’ compensation and risk management processes
  • Document all patient encounters in an EMR system
  • Maintain a clean and fully stocked on-site clinic
  • Communicate with MMC leadership and local healthcare providers
  • Work daily with site safety personnel
  • Lead “Stretch and Flex” sessions
  • Conduct job site walk-throughs
  • Identify potential workplace health risks
  • Promote employee wellness initiatives
  • Conduct new hire drug screens and orientation
  • Perform substance abuse and occupational health testing
  • Participate in weekly team meetings to review cases and site updates
