About The Position
FAR Inspections is seeking a reliable independent contractor to perform residential mortgage inspections in St. Charles County, Missouri, and surrounding communities. This role offers the opportunity to earn supplemental or full-time income on a flexible schedule. As a Field Inspector, you will conduct brief, exterior visits to confirm property occupancy status and report on general conditions. The company has a 12-year track record of excellence and stability in the mortgage field services industry and partners with motivated independent contractors who prioritize accuracy, reliability, and professional autonomy. Standard inspections are designed for speed, typically requiring only 5–6 minutes on-site, and contractors manage their own routing, schedule, and territory. The role involves determining property occupancy status, capturing photos, submitting reports using mobile applications, and maintaining reliability regarding territory coverage and deadlines. This position requires significant driving and making numerous stops throughout the day in a dense metro area, making familiarity with city driving, parking, and navigating multi-unit properties helpful.
Requirements
- Reliable, fuel-efficient vehicle.
- Smartphone (Android or iPhone) capable of running mobile reporting apps.
- Computer with an internet connection and a printer.
- Strong time-management skills to meet deadlines without direct supervision.
- Ability to pass a standard background check.
- Must live in or near O'Fallon or anywhere in St. Charles County.
