About The Position

FAR Inspections is seeking a reliable independent contractor to perform residential mortgage inspections in Kent County, Maryland, and surrounding communities. This role offers the opportunity to earn supplemental or full-time income on a flexible schedule. As a Field Inspector, you will perform brief, exterior visits to confirm property status and report on general conditions. The position offers autonomy in managing your own routing, schedule, and territory, with standard inspections typically requiring only 5-6 minutes on-site. The role involves determining property occupancy status, capturing photos, and submitting brief reports using mobile applications, while maintaining reliability and meeting deadlines. The job requires spending extended periods driving and making numerous stops throughout the day in an assigned territory that includes suburban neighborhoods and rural stretches.

Requirements

Reliable, fuel-efficient vehicle.
Smartphone (Android or iPhone) capable of running mobile reporting apps.
Computer with an internet connection and a printer.
Strong time-management skills to meet deadlines without direct supervision.
Ability to pass a standard background check.
