About The Position

The occasional worker supports allied health student learning through lab instruction, applied learning activities, and/or development and delivery of lecture content. This role works collaboratively with course directors and program faculty to promote student success and achievement of course outcomes.

  • Commitment to student learning, ethical practice, and professional standards.
  • Appropriate degree, professional preparation, licensure, certification, or clinical expertise related to the assigned content.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior teaching, lab assisting, clinical education, or mentoring experience.
  • Experience working with allied health students in academic, clinical, simulation, or interprofessional settings.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with or direct laboratory learning activities.
  • Demonstrate clinical skills, procedures, techniques, or professional behaviors.
  • Provide student supervision, feedback, and coaching during lab, simulation, or applied learning experiences.
  • Develop, update, and/or present lecture content aligned with course objectives.
  • Support student development of clinical reasoning, psychomotor skills, communication, safety, and professionalism.
  • Assist with grading, skill checks, practical examinations, or competency assessments as assigned.
  • Communicate effectively with students, course faculty, and program leadership.
  • Uphold program, college, and university policies, including expectations for professionalism, safety, confidentiality, and academic integrity.
