About The Position

BayCare Medical Group, a physician-led, not-for-profit organization, is seeking an experienced Board-Certified Obstetrics & Gynecology physician to join our established, high-volume women's health practice in Plant City, Florida. This opportunity offers immediate access to a strong referral network, an established patient panel, and significant growth potential within a rapidly expanding market. The incoming physician will join a collaborative team dedicated to delivering exceptional obstetric and gynecologic care to the community. Conveniently located within the South Florida Baptist hospital, the practice provides seamless access to the Labor & Delivery unit, dedicated OB operating rooms, and comprehensive hospital resources. Physicians benefit from strong administrative support, engaged hospital leadership, and a hospitalist program that provides inpatient OB/GYN coverage support. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced physician seeking to grow an established practice while enjoying the advantages of a hospital-supported setting. The practice offers a full spectrum of women's healthcare services, including obstetrics, prenatal care and delivery, gynecology, well-woman exams, preventive care, infertility evaluation, abnormal Pap smear management, minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery, fibroid treatment, endometriosis treatment, and menstrual disorder management. Physicians enjoy the ability to maintain a broad clinical practice while helping meet the growing demand for women's health services in the region. Call responsibilities include office call coverage during weekday evenings and a rotating weekend call schedule averaging one to two weekends per month. A dedicated OB/GYN hospitalist program is available to support hospital call coverage, providing additional physician support and promoting a balanced practice environment.

Requirements

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Board Certified through American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Minimum of 1 year of OB/GYN practice experience
  • Florida medical license or ability to obtain
  • Proven commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care
  • Strong clinical, surgical, and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional obstetric and gynecologic care to the community.
  • Provide obstetrics, prenatal care and delivery.
  • Perform gynecology services, including well-woman exams and preventive care.
  • Conduct infertility evaluations.
  • Manage abnormal Pap smears.
  • Perform minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery.
  • Treat fibroids, endometriosis, and menstrual disorders.
  • Maintain a broad clinical practice.
  • Provide office call coverage during weekday evenings.
  • Participate in a rotating weekend call schedule averaging one to two weekends per month.
