About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Observability Engineer to join our team. This role is crucial for ensuring the reliability, performance, and availability of our systems through advanced observability practices. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our observability stack, including monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting systems. Your expertise will help us proactively identify and resolve issues, optimize system performance, and enhance the overall user experience.

Requirements

• 4-year technical degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of IT/Engineering experience, with a focus on Observability, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
• 4+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) automation using tools like Terraform or OpenTofu.
• 3+ years of experience developing dashboards and alerts using New Relic.
• 3+ years of experience with scripting languages such as Python, Go, or Bash for automation and tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage observability solutions, including monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and alerts using New Relic to provide real-time insights into system health and performance.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or OpenTofu.
• Write scripts in Python, Go, or Bash to automate operational tasks, develop tooling, and integrate various systems.
• Collaborate with DevOps and SRE teams to foster a culture of reliability and continuous improvement.
• Analyze system performance data to identify bottlenecks and areas for optimization.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across distributed systems.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in observability, DevOps, and SRE.
