Requirements
- High school diploma
- No prior experience required
- Ability to lift 50-pound bags
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Basic computer skills
- Basic construction skills and willingness to climb work equipment at heights
Responsibilities
- Walk along rows of corn
- Bend moderately
- Carry mandrel with work equipment (~5lbs)
- Work outdoors in hot weather
- Pollinate (average 4hrs)
- Constantly use viewer and tweezers (soy)
- Plant by hand (average 5hrs)
- Make holes in the ground with fingers
- Plant chemically treated seed using protective gloves
- Walk on wet ground
- Harvest (average 8hrs)
- Uproot soybean plants
- Lift harvest bags
- Load harvest bags (~50lbs)
- Cleaning and shelling of corn cobs or soybean pods (average 8hrs)
- Hand-spiking (average 8hrs)
- Place stakes
