About The Position

ProMedica Physicians Group (PPG) is seeking an OB/GYN in Oregon, Ohio. The role involves two to three clinic days per week and surgery block time. The call schedule averages one day per week and one weekend per month, with holiday rotation. Due to the call schedule, candidates must live within a 30-minute commute to Bay Park Hospital. The team consists of two physicians and 10 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). The daily patient volume is around 30, with approximately 40% inpatient and 60% outpatient responsibilities. Operating Room (OR) time is available roughly one day per week once a patient panel is established. PPG focuses on preventive care and patient education across a wide range of medical specialties, helping individuals maintain long-term health and manage complex conditions. Physicians utilize the latest medical knowledge and collaborate closely with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure personalized, effective care at every stage of life. Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited institution in the applicable specialty.
  • Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in the state(s) where care is provided.
  • Board certified or board eligible in the relevant specialty.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) certification(s) applicable to your role (e.g., BLS, ACLS, PALS, etc.).
  • Commitment to ongoing continuing medical education (CME) and professional development.
  • Must live within a 30-minute commute to Bay Park Hospital due to call schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Provide two to three clinic days per week.
  • Participate in surgery block time.
  • Adhere to a call schedule averaging one day per week and one weekend per month (Friday/Saturday/Sunday).
  • Participate in holiday rotation.
  • Manage approximately 30 patients per day.
  • Handle roughly 40% inpatient and 60% outpatient responsibilities.
  • Utilize OR time approximately one day per week once a patient panel is established.
  • Focus on preventive care and patient education.
  • Collaborate closely with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Apply the latest medical knowledge.
