About The Position

Women's Care is seeking an OBGYN Sonographer for a PRN position within their float pool. This role involves performing ultrasound examinations, recording findings, and potentially traveling to local clinics on an as-needed basis. The Sonographer will be responsible for routine and specialized procedures, including nuchal translucency scans, fetal surveys, hysterosonograms, and 3D-4D scans. The position requires evaluating image quality, interpreting captured images, documenting patient information in the electronic medical record, and representing the clinic professionally. The role also emphasizes courteous interaction with patients and staff, participation in team activities and professional development, and adherence to HIPAA regulations. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid OB/GYN ARDMS certification.
Minimum 2 years of recent OBGYN experience required.
Experience with 3D-4D scans.
Excellent bedside manner and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multi-task in a stressful, deadline-oriented environment.
Ability to communicate with coworkers, providers and patients in a courteous and effective manner.
Ability to use a computer and enter data in electronic medical record system, eCW a plus.
Must be dependable, reliable, and punctual.
Must be willing and able to travel to various clinics within the local region.
A minimum of 2 shifts per month is required.

Responsibilities

Performs ultrasound examinations and records the findings.
Performs routine ultrasound exams, as well as specialized procedures as directed.
Performs nuchal translucency scans per established standards and guidelines.
Completes fetal surveys.
Performs hysterosonograms, as well as 3D-4D scans.
Evaluates the images for their quality, but also interprets what was captured in the image.
Documents/updates information in patient’s electronic medical record.
Represents clinic in a professional manner.
Treats all customers, internal and external, in a courteous and cooperative manner.
Attends required meetings and participates in team activities and professional development activities.
Demonstrates and embodies the Women’s Care mission and core values.
Compliance with all HIPAA rules, regulations, and guidelines.
Other duties as assigned.
