About The Position

We are seeking an OBGYN Physician for a Locum Tenens position in Iron Mountain, MI. This role involves providing both outpatient and inpatient clinical coverage, as well as call coverage. The coverage period is from August 28, 2026, ongoing, with specific dates available throughout 2026. The physician will manage an average daily volume of 12 clinic patients and 1-2 hospital admissions, including rounding. The facility utilizes the Cerner EMR system and is supported by a team of MAs, PAs/NPs, and office staff.

Requirements

Board Certified or Board Eligible
BLS certification
Ability to perform low risk pregnancy care
Proficiency in FHR interpretation (NST/CST/FSE)
Experience with routine delivery: Vaginal, Low forceps, Decision-making for c-section
Experience with complicated delivery: C-section, Breech, Multiple births, Abruptions, VBAC's
Experience in repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
Proficiency in Office/minor gynecology procedures (IUD, Cystoscopy, Colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, etc.)
Experience in Surgical gynecology (Open, Laparoscopic diagnostic/minor only - tubal ligation, LOA's, chronal tubation, Operative/major (includes diagnostic) - ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOA's)
Must have hospital privileges or be eligible for temporary privileges.

Responsibilities

Provide call coverage for Obstetrics and Gynecology emergencies during assigned shifts (6pm-6pm).
Conduct prenatal visits and manage clinic patients on weekdays.
Perform routine and complicated deliveries, including C-sections and vaginal deliveries.
Provide gynecological surgical procedures, including laparoscopic and open surgeries.
Collaborate with nursing and support staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
